Norton Hall Children and Family Centre (NHCFC) has been serving the Ward End and Alum Rock areas of Birmingham for over 50 years, focusing on communities facing significant environmental, social, and economic challenges. As an anchor organisation, it has adapted its services to meet the evolving needs of women and children, emphasising Health, Social, and Economic outcomes. The charity’s inclusive and responsive approach creates bottom-up change by developing projects tailored to local needs. As a partner in the Birmingham Community Action Network (BCAN), the charity collaborates with other key Voluntary, Community, Faith, and Social Enterprise organisations to enhance impact and efficiency across Birmingham. This partnership allows for pooling resources and leveraging collective strengths to deliver accessible, diverse, and integrated services. The charity works closely with various partners, including local schools, local authority bodies, third sector organisations, education services, and social services, to create lasting positive change in these often considered ‘hard to reach’ communities.
