- Legal status set up for over 7 years (Charity, CBS, CIO, CIC) (as of 14.05.25)
- Annual turnover of over £100,000 (in 3 of the last 5 years)
- A community hub (asset) accessible to local residents
Each application will be assessed individually by the Governance (Membership) Committee and require approval by the Network
B:CAN MEMBERSHIP TYPES
B:CAN offers three membership types (below) based on the criteria your organisation meets.B:CAN Members must meet all 5 criteria and pay fees based on the income band of your organisation.

Affiliates are those groups who do not meet all 5 criteria but want to be part of the B:CAN network, to learn, exchange and connect.
• They must at least meet criteria 1 & 2 and any one of the other 3.
• They do not attend meetings but can attend wider network meetings and events.
• They can connect with their local BCAN member organisation for ‘coaching/mentorship’.
• It is intended as a route to full membership.
Partners are those delivering or funding B:CAN projects, or funding the network. They must (as a minimum) meet criterion 1 and be approved by the Network.
