Celebrate Local Volunteers with the King’s Award for Voluntary Service
Volunteering is the heartbeat of thriving communities, and at B:CAN, we’re proud to support and celebrate those who give their time selflessly. The King’s Award for Voluntary Service (KAVS) is the highest honour given to local volunteer groups across the UK, equivalent to an MBE, recognising outstanding dedication for life.
The B:CAN network is proud to work alongside over 1,150 volunteers who dedicate their time to helping make Birmingham’s communities better every day. We are delighted to host a special Information Session to support local voluntary groups in finding out more about the King’s Award for Voluntary Service (KAVS) and to gain valuable knowledge of the nomination process.
Nominations for this prestigious award are now open until 1st December 2025, providing a fantastic opportunity for local voluntary groups to be celebrated on a national stage for the incredible work they do within their communities.
Join us for this insightful Information Session on Monday 22nd September at Witton Lodge Community Association to learn more about the nomination process, eligibility, and the positive difference this award can make for your groups and volunteers.
For more information and to register for the session, visit https://bit.ly/4gfMfZY or call 0121 382 1930 if you need support with registration.
